AYRE'S SENSORY INTEGRATION

WHAT IS SENSORY INTEGRATION?

Sensory integration is the brain’s ability to take in, organize, and use information from the senses—like touch, movement, sight, sound, and more.

This helps us do things like focus, stay balanced, or respond calmly to daily life. The concept was developed by Dr. A. Jean Ayres and is backed by research.

WHAT IS AYRES’ SENSORY INTEGRATION® (ASI)?

ASI® is a play-based therapy approach that uses fun, personalized activities to help kids respond better to sensory input.

It’s led by specially trained therapists—usually OTs—and happens in safe, sensory-rich spaces using special equipment. The goal is to improve how children participate in daily life.
